Mrs. Pearson * Chorus & "Music for Life" Music Appreciation

March is   Music In Our Schools Month
We're celebrating with several special events
Stay TUNED!
This month in MUSIC for LIFE
Elements of Music:  Project presentations focused on really understanding & performing the new world music pieces for the spring program.  Culture, history... plus foreign languages, far-away places, and the art, math & sciences of music --- all in one class!

"The Calling Sea"     How does music move message across time, place, and peoples?     The music of different cultures isn't limited to the lands, but its music and people move --and are moved by --the seas which surround or border them.  We're exploring various oceanic places around the world, by way of ships & sea chanteys.

"Celtic Traditions"   WHY does Celtic music move us? From Celtic rock to Riverdance, reggae in kilts and red-hot chili pipers, we can't sit still or stop from playing & singing along. Form, function, foreign travel -- and finding common threads.

CHORUS:
