6th Grade:
Spelling:  Unit 13:  Words with -ed or -ing (6A)
                Unit 11: VCCV and VCCCV Patterns(6B)
                            Spelling and Vocabulary tests on Friday
                

Grammar:     Punctuation, Spelling, and Varied Sentence Structure topics on Study Island
                   

Literature:      Students will continue to read, The Face on the Milk Carton.   Students will work on analogies.
                       Students will work on strategies to use when reading nonfiction material.
                      

                  
   
                  

7th Grade:

Spelling:  Unit 13 : Vowel Changes I
                            Spelling and Vocabulary tests on Friday

Grammar:       Punctuation and Spelling topics on Study Island

Literature:     Students will continue reading Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, by Mildred Taylor.  
                      Students will continue their oral presentations on the American Civil Rights' Movement.
                     
                   
                    
                  
                   
8th Grade:

Spelling:  Unit 13: Vowel Changes I
                            Spelling and Vocabulary tests on Friday

Grammar:         Context Clues on Study Island

Literature:       Students will continue reading Anne Frank:  The Diary of a Young Girl.
                        Students will continue their oral presentations on the Nazi people who played an important

Upcoming Events:

The annual Book Fair is going on this week.  The students can bring in money and go to the Book Fair during study halls or their designated times.
